President Barack Obama's campaign is trying to pencil in the details of Mitt Romney's budget cuts.
The Republican presidential candidate has revealed few specifics when talking about how he'd trim the deficit. So Obama's campaign, along with Colorado's two Democratic U.S. Senators, are scheduled to release a report Monday detailing what they argue Romney's cuts will be.
The report is expected to say Romney's plans would reduce the number of rangers at national parks, government support for wind energy and solar jobs and cut $61 million from public school funding.
The report comes as Romney has surged into the lead in national polls and gained on Obama in swing states. His campaign contends it has momentum in Colorado and that Republicans are requesting an unusually high number of absentee ballots.
