The Pikes Peak Region continues to see both light rain and snow, even a mix in some places so far in the early afternoon hours. Eventually this afternoon, the rain will change all into snow for the Pikes Peak region, while areas to the south and east start picking up on rain. By the overnight hours, all will be in the snow category. This looks to end by the early morning hours on Sunday. Nissan is recalling certain model year 2012 and 2013 Altima vehicles that total about 13,900 because its bolts could become loose and fall out, increasing the risk of a car crash.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says on its website that the vehicles may have been equipped with transverse link bolts and power steering rack bolts that were not torqued to proper specification.
The vehicles were made from May 10 through July 26. Dealers will tighten the bolts to the proper specifications. The recall is expected to begin on or about Oct. 29. Owners with questions may call Nissan at 1-800-647-7261.
