A Nigerian government official says "all options are open" in the search for nearly 280 school girls who were kidnapped by the Islamic militant group Boko Haram nearly a month ago.

Nigeria's government had initially suggested there would be no negotiations with the group, which now says the girls will only be freed after the government releases jailed militants.
