PUEBLO, Colo. The Pueblo Home of Heroes Association dedicated a new granite plaque with the names of 25 new Medal of Honor recipients on Friday.

Those heroes from WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and Afghanistan recently were awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for their extraordinary acts of bravery in Washington DC.

The heroes are joining thousands of other Medal of Honor recipients at the Pueblo Medal of Honor Memorial.

Retired Colonel Marine Barney Barnum received the Medal Of Honor years ago.

"What we're doing is keeping up with the time. It's my honor to be here. I was at the White House when they received the medals," said Barnum.

Pueblo is home to the Pueblo Medal of Honor Memorial at the Pueblo Convention Center. The memorial has three statues of four Pueblo Medal of Honor recipients. Drew Dix is one of those Medal of Honor recipients from Pueblo.

"I think this is an another demonstration of Pueblo's commitment to recognize those in the past," said Dix.
