A six-year-old child was taken to the hospital after a vehicle reportedly ran a red light and caused a three vehicle crash.
It happened on Academy at Astrozon in Colorado Springs.
Police said Brenda Hurt, 22, was driving south on Academy when she reportedly ran a red light and hit a truck that was traveling east on Astrozon through the intersection.
The truck was hit so hard that it was pushed into a third vehicle, which was sitting at the stoplight on the northbound side of Academy.
Police said the injured child was in the car with Hurt. Hurt is reportedly the child's aunt.
Police said drugs and alcohol may have been factors in the crash, but the accident is still under investigation.
The accident was first reported at 10:00 a.m. Northbound Academy was closed until 1:10 p.m. while the accident was investigated.
