A motorcycle rider was injured Wednesday afternoon when he was rear-ended and his leg became pinned under a Jeep.
Police say the rider was traveling north on Murray, south of Galley in Colorado Springs when he was hit around 12:30 p.m.
Firefighters freed his leg and he was taken to the hospital. Police say he was not wearing a helmet and suffered a head injury.
Galley was shut down between Emory to Galley for a couple of hours while crews responded to the accident.
The driver of the Jeep was ticketed for careless driving.
