A moped driver was injured in a hit-and-run crash in Colorado Springs Monday evening.

The crash happened at Academy and Astrozon just before 9 p.m.

Police say the victim was heading east on Astrozon when he was hit by a car turning left from westbound Astrozon onto southbound Academy.

Officers say the victim suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators say they have found the driver of the car that caused the crash, and a 16-year-old girl has been taken into custody. She will be charged with a felony hit-and-run.

Police had north-south traffic limited at the intersection during their investigation. Traffic returned to normal just before 11:30 p.m. Monday.
