A system producing heavy snow in the central mountains arrives in SE Colorado overnight Sunday into Monday bringing moisture, windy conditions and colder temperatures. Snow showers will be possible across the I-25 corridor to start the day. This system will produce bands of snow through the day Monday. Areas under these bands will see periods of heavy snowfall which, with windy conditions, could create travel difficulties. The body of an Air Force Academy 2003 graduate has been found in the Adriatic Sea, according to CBS National News.
Capt. Lucas Gruenther was an Air Force F-16 pilot, whose fighter jet went missing Monday on a nighttime training mission.
Capt. Lucas Gruenther was the chief of flight safety for the 31st Fighter Wing at Aviano Air Base, Italy.
Before being assigned to Aviano Air Base, Gruenther was an instructor pilot at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas.
