Mayor Steve Bach is holding a meeting to present an independent review of the stormwater projects in Colorado Springs.
The meeting is Wed., Oct. 9 at 1 p.m. at the city administration building. The mayor invited the city council, El Paso County Commissioners and members of the Stormwater Task Force to hear the presentation from CH2M Hill. Topics will include costs of priority projects, the next steps and alternative solutions for the city's stormwater needs.
The meeting will give the Regional Task Force a chance to summarize proposed stormwater solutions as well as an alternative solution from Council President Keith King. The mayor will also present a proposal.
“This meeting will be an important opportunity to continue a local and regional conversation regarding the possible options to address our stormwater needs. A third party analysis gives us a solid basis to move forward,” says Mayor Bach. “It is critical that we have this outside look at current and future stormwater needs in order to develop the best solution possible. I look forward to sharing the results and discussing solutions with our community stakeholders.”
