After snowfall along the I-25 corridor Sunday be on the lookout for slick road conditions tonight and during your Monday morning commute. Some areas picked up several inches of snow through the day and, while additional snowfall is not expected to continue, snow packed and wet roadways will freeze overnight as temperatures drop into the teens. Bundle up and take it slow as you head out on the roads. Click on the 'Weather' tab for more...
Public safety, roads, bridges and storm water projects are among the top budgetary priorities in the city budget for next year, according to Laura Neumann, Colorado Springs Chief of Staff.
The city is two weeks away from voting on the budget, which is just shy of $400 million.
Neumann said the city also plans to add Sunday bus service.
"I'd like to think we're in a pretty good position right now and I'm proud of what the city staff was able to accomplish with budgeting this year," Neumann said.
City officials said they are proud that they did not have to dip into emergency reserves to fund any upcoming projects.
