A driver has been taken to a Springs hospital after rolling his vehicle and crashing through a fence in east El Paso County.

According to Colorado State Patrol, the driver was traveling eastbound on Judge Orr Road about a quarter-mile west of Ellicott Road and may have fallen asleep at the wheel. He crossed the median onto the other side of the road, rolled twice, then went through a fence.

The driver was taken to Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.

Troopers are investigating whether the driver fell asleep at the wheel or has a medical condition.
