Andrew Stiern was arrested Thursday night after a brief standoff with police near Academy and Austin Bluffs in Colorado Springs.
Now he has new charges against him for reportedly trying to smuggle in a handcuff key when he went to jail.
Stiern had three warrants for his arrest and when he saw officers, he tried to hide in the ceiling of a Comfort Dental office.
He fell through the ceiling and eventually surrendered.
The El Paso County Sheriff's Office says when they booked him into jail, they noticed something wasn't quite right.
They used what's called a secure pass scan, which showed he something in his mouth. When deputies checked, they say they found a handcuff key in his mouth.
