A man is recovering after being stabbed in the hand in an apparent carjacking.
It happened at 4:30 Tuesday morning, near the intersection of La Salle and Monteagle streets.
The victim told Springs police, he was dropping off his 10 year-old son with his mother, when a man pulled up next to his car. The victim says the suspect was driving a two door silver colored Honda Civic with tinted windows. The victim told police as he was lifting his child out of the car, the suspect began to bang on his windows.
Police say he took his child inside, and returned to find the suspect driving off in his car. As the suspect drove off, the victim says he reached into the car through a broken window and was stabbed with a screwdriver.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, in his 20s, 5'8" with a heavy goatee.
