This morning we're hearing from drivers who had to head to work early. That's because they want to avoid the expected traffic congestion as busy highway will be shut down to one lane.
Highway 24 just west of Manitou Springs will be closed as C-DOT crews work to remove boulders after a rock slide.
One man we spoke with commutes to Woodland Park every morning. As he drove to work on Wednesday after the rockslide he tells me he was shocked to see the size of those boulders on the side of the road
C-DOT crews will be using what they call "boulder blasters" to break the rocks up today. Those boulders fell near Manitou on Tuesday night.
The right-hand lane of westbound 24 will be closed from 9 a.m. until noon on Friday, April 26 while they finish removing the boulders.
