Traffic was tangled up for many drivers Friday morning after two rollovers occurred on busy roads in the Springs.
The first crash happened just before 6 a.m. on southbound I-25 at Cimarron (exit 141). Police say a driver hit the median near the Cimarron exit and rolled the vehicle. The driver was uninjured, but traffic was backed up for more than two hours; at one point vehicles were backed up to Garden of the Gods, more than five miles away.
The second crash happened about half an hour later on the north end of town.
Police tell 11 News that one woman had to be extricated from her vehicle after crashing at the intersection of Powers and Research in north Colorado Springs. She was conscious when removed from her vehicle, and was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
The crash blocked lanes on both Research and Powers for a couple of hours.
