A new app aimed at protecting kids from child abductors could be on the market soon.

You may remember that 10-year-old Jessica Ridgeway disappeared last fall somewhere between her home and school.

Her body was found days later in a field near her home in Westminster. Her death prompted the development of the app.

It would warn parents when their children aren't where they are supposed to be.

The app is for computers and smart phones and would send an alert if something goes wrong.
