After almost a week on the run, the Fremont County Sheriff's Office says an escaped inmate has been captured.
Ronnie Rainey, 46, who was being held in a minimum security prison in Florence for mail fraud, was confirmed missing from the facility on October 18. The facility went on lockdown while they searched for him.
Rainey was found Thursday.
The minimum security facility Rainey reportedly escaped from has no walls or fences surrounding it. Prisoners are expected to be in certain places at certain times. Guards do multiple checks throughout the day to make sure prisoners are where they're supposed to be.
Rainey had been serving a 10-year sentence. Authorities have not said whether his sentence is expected to be extended after his escape.
