Why The Video Looks Shaky (Don Ward)
Updated: 06/18/2013 - We did a quick helicopter tour of the Black Forest burn area. Someone asked why the video looks shaky.
Three men broke into a home in the Springs overnight and tussled with the homeowner, leaving him with minor injuries and getting away with a wallet.
Police say the first suspect entered the home on the 1800 block of Monterey through a window at 1 a.m. and was immediately caught by the man inside. As the two struggled, the victim was hit in the head with a handgun. The suspect then went to the front door and let his two accomplices in.
At some point while the three suspects were inside, the handgun was fired.
The suspects left the home after getting the victim's wallet. The victim was unable to provide a description outside of them all being black men.
The victim was hospitalized after the break-in. His condition is unknown.
