Highway 115 Re-Opened North of Penrose

We know know the name of a woman who was hit and killed by a car on Highway 115 north of Penrose.

Colorado State Patrol says 75-year-old Margaret Mistry hit a deer. When she got out of her car, she was hit by a jeep driven by a 67-year-old woman.

Mistry was pronounced dead at the scene.

It happened around 7:30 Friday night.

The investigation is ongoing.

The highway was closed for about three hours.
