A possible marijuana grow operation caused a scare in Pueblo Tuesday after police found what they thought were hazardous materials inside a home.
Stone Avenue in the Bessemer neighborhood of Pueblo was blocked off while HazMat investigated.
According to officials at the scene, the landlord assisted police Tuesday morning to gain entry to the home. They suspected it was already empty, but were not sure.
When they entered the home, it was vacant but suspicious items were found in the basement. Those items included several five gallon buckets with unknown liquids and some tubing.
Crews tested the materials because they suspected it could be the remnants of a methamphetamine lab. The materials turned out not to be hazardous.
Officials now think it could have been the remnants of a marijuana grow operation.
