A former undersheriff has turned himself in for allegedly embezzling public funds.
Robin Cronk, undersheriff of Montezuma County until his resignation late last month, was taken into custody Wednesday. He faces one count of embezzlement of public funds and one count of first-degree official misconduct.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation says Cronk allegedly purchased items for personal use over an undisclosed period of time. They have not released any further information about the investigation.
