Two fleeing suspects didn't count on the freshly fallen snow to lead police right to their door.

The suspects were allegedly breaking into cars on the 9000 block of Aragon Drive, near Powers and Research Parkway. A caller told police when he confronted the pair after seeing them in his own vehicle, they ran off.

Police were able to follow footprints in the snow to a home on the 4800 block of Herndon Circle, which is on the opposite side of Research Parkway from where the alleged crimes occurred. Police say both suspects were inside the home, and confessed to breaking into vehicles.

Clayton Romero and Nathan Roulier were charged with first-degree criminal trespass and taken to jail.
