Flash Flooding in High Park Fire Burn Scar

Flash flooding in northern Colorado temporarily closed some mountain roads, as thunderstorms sent water and debris onto roads from slopes burned by the High Park Fire last year.

Water receded after the storms moved on Friday, but mud and debris were left behind.

The National Weather Service estimates at least 1.25 inches of rain fell on parts of the burn scar.
