Flames tore through a garage late Sunday night, leaving behind a charred mess for the homeowners.
But the homeowners say they were fortunate--the flames never reached the propane tanks outside the garage.
Firefighters were called to Willamette and 25th in Old Colorado City around 11 p.m. after a fire broke out inside the two-car detached garage. A woman who lives in the home says she was in the basement when the fire started.
"I came running up the stairs and I opened the back door...there were flames shooting up six feet in the air and tons of smoke."
Firefighters got the flames under control within minutes and are now investigating what caused the fire.
