Smoke permeated the air late Tuesday in Black Forest as the sound of sirens broke through the quiet night.

It made for an unsettling couple of hours for some Black Forest residents, understandably on edge so soon after the devastating Black Forest Fire.

Firefighters received a call around 11 p.m. that a house in the area had caught fire. Crews responded quickly, and were able to keep the flames contained to one room in the home.

One man was inside when the fire started; he was able to get out safely and sustained no injuries.

Investigators have determined that the fire was electrical, caused by aluminum wiring.

Residents said they were relieved the fire was contained quickly.
