A huge fight ended with several people injured and a car off a steep embankment.
Detectives with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office are now pursuing leads which will hopefully lead to arrests.
According to a sheriff's office spokesman, an argument between two groups of people in the Cheyenne Canon parking lot just after midnight Saturday turned into a physical fight. A couple of people were injured severely enough to require hospitalization, but the spokesman didn't know the nature of the injuries.
The parking lot sits above Helen Hunt Falls in southwest Colorado Springs and intersects with Gold Camp Road. At some point, a vehicle went down the steep hillside and crashed. The occupants fled, but responding deputies located them later.
The spokesman did not know if the crash was accidental or intentional.
No arrests have been made, and detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.
