The name of the man killed in a motorcycle crash over the weekend has been identified as Benjamin Nathaniel Oneal.
Colorado Springs Police 27-year-old Oneal was riding a motorcycle eastbound on Rangewood when he lost control and crashed.
The eastbound lanes of Rangewood between Austin Bluffs and Vickers were shut down for more than two hours for the fatal accident.
It happened at about 7:40 p.m. Saturday. Investigators said two witnesses pulled up after the crash. They were nurses and tried life saving techniques, but when firefighters and paramedics arrived, they pronounced the man dead on scene.
Investigators are still working to confirm witness statements that the rider was speeding. Police said Oneal was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Investigators said a coroner will determine if drugs or alcohol were factors in this crash.
