Twenty-seven-year-old Nate Leon was delivering pizzas as a second job to support his wife and young twin daughters.
It was during one of those deliveries in Denver that Leon was shot to death.
His Domino's shirt and a pizza box were found in the back seat of Evan Ebel's car after a shootout in Texas last week, which left Ebel dead.
Gary Barnhart, Leon's father-in-law, believes Ebel may have used the disguise in the murder of Colorado's prison director Tom Clements.
Police have yet to confirm this, but the clothing and boxes were found in the same car as shell casings that have been positively linked to the Clements murder.
Whatever the reason behind Leon's murder, the tragic outcome is the same.
"I've got two little girls that are gonna be 4 this month that are going to be without a dad, and my daughter's going to be without a husband," Barnhart said.
Leon was his family's only source of income. The family is working to set up a fund; Barnhart says if you would like to help them out in the meantime, you can do so at area Blackjack Pizza locations.
Funeral services for Nate Leon will be held at the Flatirons Church in Lafayette, Colo. on Wednesday, March 27 at 11 a.m. The church is located at 355 W. South Boulder Road.
