After snowfall along the I-25 corridor Sunday be on the lookout for slick road conditions tonight and during your Monday morning commute. Some areas picked up several inches of snow through the day and, while additional snowfall is not expected to continue, snow packed and wet roadways will freeze overnight as temperatures drop into the teens. Bundle up and take it slow as you head out on the roads. Click on the 'Weather' tab for more...
A family is homeless tonight after a fire ripped through their trailer home. Everyone managed to escape the blaze uninjured.
It happened near Ellicott on Meier Road just off of Highway 94. Fighting the fire was a massive effort with crews from several fire departments there.
The Ellicott Fire Department says the location made fighting the fire much more difficult because there's no fire hydrants in that area.
"Any time you have a fire during the heat of the day, in a rural area, it's always difficult, you have issues of getting water to the fire," said John Scorsine of the Ellicott Fire Department.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but it's not believed to be suspicious.
