Several local families now have their stolen vehicles back after Colorado Springs Police made some big arrests this week.

They had their biggest break when they located a stolen 1995 Acura on Tremont Street near Fillmore. After making an arrest police recovered four other vehicles in a three block area.

During another arrest police located a stolen 2004 Acura near Bijou Street and Chelton. The thief was charged with vehicle motor theft, ID theft, and illegally carrying a concealed weapon. Neighbors say they're happy to hear police are cracking down on auto theft.

"If they get caught that's good. I'm glad. They should get them. Maybe lock them up for it and let them learn. " said Eddie Espinosa.

The CSPD's Auto Theft Unit recovered a total of 11 vehicles this week.
