The Salvation Army is happy to announce that they will be keeping the doors of their emergency warming shelter open until April 1. They were planning on closing the doors soon because of a lack of funding.
Captain Harold Laubach Jr. says they are staying open thanks to the “overwhelming generosity” of Pueblo residents, the Posada organization, Crossroads of Pueblo and anonymous donors.
The Salvation thanks everyone for their giving and are excited they can offer shelter until April, when the average night-time temperature climbs above freezing (32 degrees).
The shelter is located at 520 W. 13th Street, in Pueblo.
