The man convicted in the death of his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend was sentenced to 22 years in prison.
Mark Manyik was found guilty in October in the murder of Robert Miles. Monday a judge sentenced him to 22 years for 2nd degree murder, 10 years for aggravated battery and 3 years for tampering with physical evidence. The sentences will be served concurrently.
Manyik and his girlfriend Traci Adams lured Miles to Manyik's home in El Paso County in October, 2011. Court records show Manyik confessed to planning the murder and concealing the evidence.
Police say Adams called Miles 16 times before he arrived at the house. Manyik shot him once with a shotgun.
The couple also admitted in interviews that they stole the Miles' cell phone and threw it out of their truck to get rid of evidence that they called him.
Adams was convicted in August of murder. She was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
