A Walsenburg woman found dead in a home Thursday morning was murdered, police tell 11 News.

A neighbor heard the man living in the home screaming for help Thursday morning and called police. Walsenburg Police Chief Tommie McLallen told 11 News the call came in as a reported shooting, but at this time it's unknown if a shooting took place. Authorities have not released how the woman died. Autopsy results are pending.

Officers got to the home on the 300 block of W. 3rd St. at 7 a.m. Thursday, where they found a wounded man and a deceased woman. The man was sent to a local hospital, before being transported via Flight for Life to Pueblo.

Police Saturday identified the victims as husband and wife Ralph Candelario, 50, and Pam Candelario, 48.

Neighbors are still reeling from the shocking news. They told 11 News the Candelarios own an antique shop on 7th Street, and were supposed to be leaving for a vacation in Oregon Thursday. Neighbors say they thought the pair had left--until they saw police and an ambulance in front of the home.

Ralph was released Thursday afternoon, and has been speaking with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation. He's said to be fully cooperating with investigators.

Police are not saying if they have a suspect, only that they are following good leads. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is also involved with the murder investigation.

Authorities said Saturday that police and CBI have finished canvassing the Candelarios' neighborhood and processing the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
