The suspect in the shooting at a Days Inn on Sunday has been arrested by Pueblo Police Monday night.
Salvadore Pritchett was taken into custody around 10:20 p.m. Monday night in the 800 block of West 14th Street. Pritchett has been booked into the Pueblo County Jail on outstanding warrants, including warrants issued for the events at the Days Inn.
El Paso County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the Days Inn Sunday night after reports of gunfire in the area. When Deputies arrived at the Days Inn on Circle Drive and I-25, they found a trail of blood, but no victim.
The victim, a 22-year-old man, showed up at Fort Carson and was transported to Memorial Hospital.
Deputies investigating the shooting asked for the public’s help in locating their suspect, Salvadore Pritchett.
Pritchett is now facing charges of Attempted First Degree Murder, in addition to previous warrants out of Pueblo County for Burglary and Escape.
