Updated: 05/14/2013 - I'm still focused on meeting my goal of doing a pull-up. And I'm almost there! But I'm always getting this question:
A Southern Colorado day care provider has pleaded guilty to child abuse for the death of a 4-year-old boy under her care.
Leslie Grayson turned herself in early last month, three weeks after the child drowned in her backyard pool.
According to the Fremont County Sheriff's Office, the child was playing with a group of children near Grayson's aboveground pool at her Canon City home when he somehow fell in. Rescuers performed CPR on the child until he was transported by ambulance to St. Thomas More Hospital in Canon City. Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.
The children told authorities that Grayson was inside her home making sandwiches at the time of the accident.
Arrest papers say Grayson is licensed to have eight children under her care, but on the day the boy drowned she had 13 children in her home.
Grayson will be sentenced in January.
