An accident involving a truck and motorcycle shut down Highway 24 east of Colorado Springs.

The crash was first reported around 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Highway 24 and Elbert Road.

State Patrol told 11 News that the crash was initially reported as more serious than it was, so Flight for Life was sent to the scene. When authorities determined the injured party's injuries were non-life threatening, troopers still decided to have Flight for Life go to the scene due to how far away from a hospital the crash was.

All lanes are reopened.
