Colorado Springs No Longer On Cold Accident Reporting

By: KKTV
Updated: Tue 7:00 PM, Jan 29, 2013

Colorado Springs police are no longer on accident alert status. During winter storms they go on cold accident alert so they can focus on serious crashes.

When they are on cold accident reporting, if you are involved in a crash and no one is hurt, you can exchange information and report it later. You can also delay reporting if drugs and alcohol are not suspected factors in the wreck.

Drivers can go to a police substation to pick up a traffic accident report, or can fill one out online at springs.gov.
