Authorities in Frederick, Colo. are calling a sexual assault suspect a fugitive after SWAT entered his home Sunday morning and found the house empty.
Sister station KCNC says law enforcement thinks Thomas Asche, 37, has left Weld County.
Asche is wanted on an outstanding warrant for sexual assault on a child. KCNC has learned the alleged victim is accounted for and safe.
He is believed to be armed with a handgun, but the Frederick Police Department says that at this time they don't believe he is a threat to anyone other than himself.
Asche is described as a white male, 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. A photo accompanying the news release shows him with a goatee.
Asche reportedly has Western Slope ties.
If you have any information on his whereabouts, you're asked to call Weld County Dispatch at 970-346-6819.
Frederick is located southeast of Longmont.
