A system producing heavy snow in the central mountains arrives in SE Colorado overnight Sunday into Monday bringing moisture, windy conditions and colder temperatures. Snow showers will be possible across the I-25 corridor to start the day. This system will produce bands of snow through the day Monday. Areas under these bands will see periods of heavy snowfall which, with windy conditions, could create travel difficulties. The driver of a vehicle that crashed through a fence and into a yard won't be ticketed.
That's because another driver ran a stop sign at Iowa and Williamette. The driver headed east on Williamette t-boned his car and crashed through the fence almost crashing into a home at the intersection.
Luckily, it came to a rest before plowing into it.
Police say the driver who ran the stop sign was driving a stolen vehicle, he jumped out of the car and took off. Officers were able to catch and arrest him shortly afterwards.
The suspect could face charges of motor vehicle theft and wreckless driving.
