Canon City police say a reported child abduction attempt was simply a misunderstanding.
Authorities responded on Wednesday April 24 to a report of two children who were possibly being enticed to get into a car by an unknown person. It happened in the area of Harrison Middle School.
Friday, police said the woman driving the suspicious car believed one of the two children was her daughter and she had yelled at her to "get in the car". The child was not the woman's daughter but looked very similar to the woman's daughter.
