Canon City Police are searching for a missing man. They say he drove away from a local business today around 3 p.m.

George Wetzler, 70, suffers from severe dementia. Police say his wife stopped at a local business and left her husband waiting in the truck. When she came back outside, he had apparently gotten behind the wheel and drove off.

The man's wife told police that her husband generally does not know where he is, his name or his age. He was last seen in a blue thermal shirt with a white and blue plaid shirt over it, blue jeans and a black and gold baseball cap with “Joint Stars” written on it.

Police are looking for a 2000 Toyota Tacoma truck, red in color, license plate 233-OGB.

If anyone sees the truck or comes in contact with Wetzler they are asked to call their local law enforcement agency.
