A police investigation forced three Pueblo schools to go on secured perimeter status Wednesday afternoon.

The three affected schools were Heaton Middle School, Belmont Elementary School and Haaff Elementary School.

Police tell 11 News that they were investigating a shots-fired call near Midlothian. That's right near Haaff Elementary.

Police say they searched the area but didn't find anything.

Bus service was delayed during the incident.
