A 12-year-old boy was hit by a car Friday evening while he was crossing a street in Colorado Springs. His injuries are not believed to be serious.
The boy was hit at North Carefree and Oro Blanco. Police say he walked into traffic and did not have the right-of-way.
The intersection was blocked for two and a half hours.
Officers say they suspect the driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
As of late Friday night, the accident was still under investigation.
