It was a tense hour in an El Paso County neighborhood after a resident received a call regarding a bomb outside her home.

The woman called the El Paso County Sheriff's Office after receiving the anonymous call at 7:02 a.m.

Sheriff's deputies got to work evacuating people door-by-door on the 1200 block of Commanchero Drive and immediate surrounding areas. Commanchero Drive is off of Peterson Road on the far eastern edge of Colorado Springs.

Commanchero was also closed at Mescalero.

Lt. Jeff Kramer with EPSO told 11 News that deputies searched the neighborhood but were unable to find anything. The search was called off shortly after 8 a.m.
