Police have identified the man suspected in a homicide at a Springs apartment complex late last month.
Officers swarmed the El Vecino Apartments after a body was discovered on the morning of Jan. 28, where the body of Efrain Murillo-Mejia, a 32-year-old Honduran citizen, was found in the parking lot.
The apartments are located on the 1800 block of Monterey in Colorado Springs.
Police have issued a warrant for Hermis Pineda-Lara, 36. He is described as being 5-foot-7, 140 pounds, and having brown hair and brown eyes. Police say he is also from Honduras, and believe he is trying to make arrangements to leave Colorado Springs.
CSPD says Pineda-Lara should be considered armed and dangerous. If you have any information on his whereabouts, call CSPD at 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
