After a mild Saturday, temperatures to finish the weekend will be MUCH colder! A system to our west pushes into SE Colorado overnight. Snow showers will be possible by early Sunday morning across the I-25 corridor with a change to rain and snow showers through the afternoon. Accumulation should be minimal as most moisture looks to be light and temperatures will warm into the upper 30s and 40s through the afternoon. A Springs bank may have been targeted twice in the last few weeks--by the same suspect.
The Academy Bank on Briargate Boulevard was robbed just before 1 p.m. Thursday, June 6. Three employees were present at the time, but no customers were there. The suspect got away with cash.
The suspect has been described as a white man in his late 20s or early 30s. He is reportedly about 6 feet tall and has blond facial hair. You can see him on newly released surveillance images - above.
Police say the suspect is the same man that robbed the branch on Briargate on May 20 at 4:30 in the afternoon.
