Powers Blvd Back Open After Accident

Powers is back open after an overnight accident that closed down the southbound lanes between Galley and Palmer Park in Colorado Springs.

Colorado Springs Police tell us the accident involved one car that went off the right side of the road. Our crew at the scene said the vehicle rolled over an embankment.

Three people were taken to the hospital. Police said two of the victims have serious injuries. The third person did not appear to be injured, according to police.

Police said the alleged driver, Marcus Anthony, 23, is facing charges for careless driving resulting in injury.

Southbound Powers was closed between Palmer Park Blvd. and Galley Rd. from 1:15 a.m. and 4:15 a.m.
