Locally heavy rain will remain possible overnight, with any showers and storms. Areas likely to see additional heavy rain will likely be east of I-25 and along HWY 50 from Canon City eastward. Authorities have made an arrest following an automobile hitting a pedestrian Saturday night.
23-year-old Michael Brown was taken into custody without incident and is charged with two counts of vehicle assault and one count of reckless driving.
According to the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office, two people were run over Saturday night around 11 p.m., after an altercation at a party in Pueblo West. Authorities responded to the scene, but the suspect fled.
Witness say Brown started a fight at the party and got chased out. When he left, he ran over a couple that was standing alongside the 200 block of Cokedale Drive.
The victims were transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Their condition is not known at this time.
Sheriff deputies were able to locate Brown's car. It was impounded and is being held as evidence. He's being held in the Pueblo County Detention Facility.
