Aurora police released a sketch of an attempted kidnapping suspect Friday afternoon.
As a 13-year-old girl walked home from school Wednesday afternoon, police say she was followed by a man in a newer Chevy Cruze or similar four-door car. The car stopped and a man got out and grabbed her arm. She was able to pull away and the man left in his car.
It happened along East 16th Avenue as she walked near Oswego St. The man is described as Hispanic, in his early to mid 30s, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build. The victim described him as having a chubby face.
At the time of the incident he was wearing a blue (possibly baby blue) baseball cap with “New York” in cursive white lettering on the front, gray zip-up sweater and khaki pants.
If you have any information about the attempted kidnapping call the Aurora Police Department at 303-739-6120 or Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867).
