Armed Man Robs Springs Denny's

SUSPECT:

  • White male
  • Between 25 and 30 years old
  • 6 feet tall
  • Thin build
  • Dressed in gray hoodie and black running pants with white stripes down side
  • Last seen in dark-colored, full-size SUV leaving area of North Academy and Platte in COS

An armed robber remains at large after reportedly threatening two Denny's employees with a rifle and stealing cash.

Police say the suspect was carrying what was described as an assault rifle when he entered the Denny's on the 300 block of North Academy just before 1 a.m. Thursday. He reportedly waved his firearm at employees as he demanded cash from the register.

After employees gave him money, he jumped into a SUV and left the scene.

The suspect is described as a white male between 25 and 30 years old, 6 feet tall and thin, dressed in a gray hoodie and black running pants with white stripes down the side. His face was concealed by a black mask.

The vehicle he left in is described as a dark-colored, full-size SUV.
